Equine Chiropractic Care

Much like chiropractic care for humans, your pets can benefit from routine chiropractic care to keep them healthy and performing at their highest level.

Chiropractic care is a drug-free approach to pet health care. It focuses on the preservation and health of neuro-musculoskeletal system. Chiropractic care restores proper function to the spine and joints of the body, by applying a specific adjustment to the joints that are not moving properly. A chiropractic adjustment is defined as a short lever, high velocity controlled thrust by hand that is directed at specific articulations to correct vertebral subluxations. A vertebral subluxation is defined as a spinal misalignment or joint dysfunction resulting in neurological or biomechanical dysfunction.

Chiropractic care can be appropriate for the treatment of:

  • Maintenance of joint and spinal health

  • Neck, back, limb, and tail pain

  • Muscle spasms

  • Disc degeneration or injury

  • Age related degeneration, arthritis

  • Injuries from slips, falls and accidents

  • Event or sports injuries

  • Post-surgical care

  • Bowel and bladder dysfunction

  • Jaw or TMJ problems, difficulty chewing
